The section of the Buffalo River flowing between the Standard grain elevator and several elevators across the river is called Elevator Alley. The Standard elevator is still in use, storing grain for the Archer, Daniels, Midland (ADM) flour mill (the former Pillsbury mill) on Ganson Street and the City Ship Canal.
