Shea's Buffalo Center for the Performing Arts was built in 1926 by Michael Shea of Buffalo's First Ward, and is considered tone one of the finest movie theaters of its time. Designed by architects C.W and G.W. Rapp, the theater seats more than 3,000 people. Restoration began in 1974 and has resulted in a magnificent venue in which to watch plays, musicals, and concerts.
