This view of Lafayette Square shows the Liberty Bank Building (center), the Brisbane Building (left), and the backside of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. The bank building was designed by architect Alfred Bossom and was completed in 1925. The twin Statues of Liberty on the top are beacons for the citizens of Buffalo. The Brisbane Building, designed by local architects Milton and Henry Beebe, was built in 1895 and is home to both office and retail space. Many Buffalonians remember the Kleinhans mens clothing store that once occupied the first floor. Soldiers and Sailors Monument commemorates the Civil War and was installed in 1882.
