The Electric Building, formerly the Niagara Mohawk Building and before that, the General Electric Tower, was designed by architects Esenwein and Johnson, and completed in 191`2, with additions in 1924 and 1927. The white-glazed terra cotta octagonal skyscraper was inspired by the Electric Tower at the Pan American Exposition held in Buffalo in 1901. The building has been renovated into general-purpose office space.
