Concrete Central was completed in 1917 and was the largest grain elevator in the world with a capacity of 4.5 million U.S. bushels. It was closed in 1966 and vacant ever since, although listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. It is part of a complex of elevators now known as Silo City. In this photograph, an icy Buffalo River lies in the foreground.
