The Connecting Terminal overlooks the junction of the City Ship Canal and the Buffalo River. The main elevator, completed in 1915, holds over a million bushels, while an addition in 1915 holds 600,000 bushels. The addition was the last elevator built in Buffalo. The structure on top of the elevator in the photograph is now gone, and what remains is the "screen" for spectacular light shows projected onto the concrete cylinders on the side facing the city.
